Rockies Batting Woes

The Rockies have a lot of youth on the roster.  It makes sense that they are still developing as hitters.  That being said, they need to learn to hit on the road and stop striking out like crazy.  The Rockies have a golden opportunity to go the season in back to back years for the first time in franchise history and they are on a two game skid against the lowly Diamond Backs.  They've got 11 games left and they will likely need most of those to turn up as wins, particularly during the Giants series this week, if they win 8 or 9 of those games then they likely get at least a shot at a play-in game.  After tonight's finale in the desert, they have a six game stand at Coors Field and then a four game stand in St. Louis.  They need to swing the bats smart.  Be patient to work up pitch counts on starting pitching, because they really feast on bullpens.  If they hit then I still think they are in.  If they continue to struggle at the plate and bat like amateurs it goes without saying that there off-season is about to start.
